Embracing Twilight
-빛의 여운을 보듬으며-
From April 9 (Wednesday) to May 4 (Sunday) at Place Nakyang
Cho Jin-hyun's solo exhibition <Embracing Twilight> will be held.
April, which began with a wave of buds to deliver spring news under the warm sunshine.
Walk together on the journey of time and memory woven with knitting.
Knit writer Cho Jin-hyun's archive exhibition «𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩» unfolds the journey.

Knitting by hand is more than the act of creating. It is a process of weaving together time and memory. For over two decades, artist Jin Hyun Cho has developed a unique sculptural language through yarn and needle. Embracing Twilight is both a documentation of this journey and a gentle reflection on process rather than perfection.
The exhibition begins with personal memories and the traces of long devotion: a handmade sewing kit from childhood, books once opened during a time of self-taught knitting, tools worn soft with use, and cherished objects from the past, arranged like drawers gently opened from the mind’s memory. Sketches and drawings, swatches, and photographs gather gently in the space, revealing a quiet passage of time, built stitch by stitch.

The exhibition also reflects the expanded spectrum of work developed through five years of collaboration with Nakyangyarn. Each new yarn release brought forth new design proposals, and the shared journey of experimentation and growth forms a major axis of the exhibition. The collaboration with Nakyangyarn has brought new possibilities into the creative journey, and experimental designs born from this process are introduced as part of the exhibition.

Knitting is, by nature, an act accompanied by trial and error. Even mistakes become part of the pattern, and failures turn into experiments for new possibilities. While we often focus on the final product and pursue perfection, Embracing Twilight invites us to look into the flow and texture of the process and to reflect on the essential meaning of creation.
More than a simple display of works, the exhibition unfolds as a space that holds the passage of time experienced by an artist and knitter and the stories born along the way, embracing the afterglow of light, the fading moments, and the sensations that quietly remain. We hope the exhibition inspires many to take thread and needle in hand and begin their own journey of creating new patterns.
During the exhibition period, special programs are also held to enjoy the results of the exhibition in greater abundance.
CAST ON & BREW

"CAST ON & BREW" is a place for light knitting and warm conversations with specialty coffee blended with the artist's life and emotions. Two types of coffee based on Ethiopian Chelba Washid G1 beans, Chelba_Daylight and Chelba_Nightfall, capture the light of day and the cozy feeling of sunset, respectively, and Han Sang-woo, a friend of the artist and barista of Malic Coffee, drops it down with his hand drip.
With a cup of coffee in between, the stories of Nitter's troubles and those who dream of creating are quietly woven like threads.
Wrap in Digeut 디귿을 두르다

In addition, the special workshop called "Wrap in Digeut" created a time to create a crochet scarf with the artist's presentation. With its delicate flowing patterns and plant-like silhouette, the scarf goes beyond just fashion items and becomes a symbol of relaxation. At the workshop, we use the "I'm Wool 2" thread from Nakyangyarn to create a warm form of the delicacy of our fingertips.
This exhibition, which permeates quietly like the energy of spring, gently awakens old senses in the mind.
As soon as I take care of the afterglow of light, I hope that the texture of life that has been walked along the thread and the needle meets your story.
