Love, hope, loss and sadness, longing for freedom, moments and eternity.
Weaving the unseen things into reality.
To me, work is a record of existence.
As I weave a thin and long thread, I feel alive.
Guided by my hands, I intertwine the thread, connecting pieces and sculpting forms.
The finished creation takes on the semblance of an organism within my personal realm.
My unconventional and transient creations find a place anywhere and thrive at their own pace.
When I was young, I first encountered the word 'eternity' in my mother's email address. Until then, I didn't know what eternity meant. And I’m still in the process of unraveling its meaning.
I always yearned to live in the moment, hoping that each moment would last forever. My wish was to hold within me the essence of everything from every corner of the world for a long time.
In doing so, I wished to deeply sense the utmost of being alive.
However, the fragmented moments intertwine with each other to form the larger flow of life.
All the moments we experience eventually come to be understood within one context and gain meaning through that context.
Starting from the question of moment and eternity, this work illustrates the seamless continuity of past, present, and future, offering insights into how to navigate life within this framework.
As we recognize that interconnectedness of everything, we discover not only the preciousness of each moment but the profound value derived from its continuous and cyclical nature.
You realize that the moment soon becomes eternity, and eternity resides within the moment.
It's a thin, long thread that goes on forever, capturing a moment in each loop.
In between, I wove blue threads to depict hope and serenity.
Hoping to linger with a long breath in an eternal moment.
