“I’m a liberalist who wants to be a part of nature”
Hi, I’m Zetta Ahn.
It has been almost 4 years since I moved to
a small rural town to have quality evening time with my family. We are in our 15th year of homeschooling our children since our first trial with our firstborn 9-year-old daughter.
Our second child San is 22, and our little Pul-ip is 11. In those years we have experienced incredible growth. We built a relationship based on sharing and developing ways to think and express more liberally, making us
a wholesome team.
My children are the source of inspiration for
all my work. They are eager to get involved and provide feedback. I am inspired by the ways they work, or shall I say, play with yarn.
I aim to liberate myself from the conventional usage of yarn and apply the material to
a wider range. I hope to continuously try working with yarn without setting any boundaries. I want to encompass love, gratitude, and all the warmth in the world.
I wholeheartedly hope that we lead a life based on sharing what is given to all the living creatures on Earth, whether it be water,
air or wind.

“Untitled”
I want to share the story of the environment and humans.
I do this by composing 95% of my work with disposed yarn.
- Untangle (dictionary definition)
‘free from a tangled or twisted state.’
‘untangle a tangled ball of yarn.’
‘reveal something complicated or confusing by digging deeper.’
I learned that tangled yarn needs tenderness and time.
It’s just like life. This is especially true when it comes to family. As a parent whose job is to provide guidance to the children, I hope I am able to reflect upon myself and embrace family love in my work.
- Pinny bike
We covered a bicycle with knitting and crochet pieces, restorating the happy memory of our ittlest one Pul-ip when she was given the bicycle from her father.
I wanted to cherish the memory of my younger self and my children. I have been holding on to this bicycle for years waiting for this moment. My youngest child used to ride it as practice.
During the months I worked on this, I could tell that she was also reliving the memory.
She giggled;
“Back then I was frightened to death when I found out dad was hardly touching the bike. But that’s how I learned. That’s right!”
When the work was complete, we all clapped with joy.
- Pinny swing
I embraced the energy of green.
To express my hope that there are many children out there playing with their families in the green,
losing themselves in the moment, I attached knitting work to the swing that our youngest used to ride.
